Hang Ten Systems, the four-month-old enterprise AI services firm founded by former Infosys CEO Vishal Sikka, has pulled in $85 million in total funding across two rounds in five weeks. The latest $53 million was led by Xora Innovation, Temasek’s venture arm, with participation from Aramco Ventures, Intel CEO Tan Lip-Bu, and Yahoo co-founder Jerry Yang. The money goes toward expanding delivery capacity and engineering and consulting headcount. The company provides advisory, transformation, and applied-AI services to large enterprises.
What this means for your business
Eighty-five million dollars raised before the company is old enough to have a full quarter of operating history isn’t a bet on Hang Ten’s track record. It’s a bet on Sikka’s, and on the thesis that large enterprises will pay premium rates for a trusted, vendor-neutral firm to manage their AI transformation rather than hand it to a hyperscaler or an incumbent consultancy with its own software to sell. If you’re a CEO currently deciding whether to source AI strategy from a systems integrator, a cloud vendor, or an independent advisory firm, this round signals that a credible fourth option is forming fast.
The backer list is doing analytical work here. Xora is a strategic capital arm with a mandate to seed AI capabilities that could eventually serve Temasek’s portfolio companies. Aramco Ventures represents a sovereign industrial base that wants AI transformation on its own terms, not on AWS’s or SAP’s. Tan Lip-Bu’s personal check connects Hang Ten to the chip supply chain at a moment when compute access shapes what applied AI is even possible. These aren’t passive financial returns plays. They’re customers and distribution channels wearing investor badges, which means Hang Ten’s pipeline may already be partially pre-seeded in ways its headcount doesn’t yet reflect.
The falsification condition for this story is simple: Hang Ten needs a named enterprise client with a disclosed scope of work within the next two quarters, or the category it’s defining, high-trust independent AI transformation advisory, collapses back into “boutique consulting with a good founder story.” Sikka’s credibility is the asset right now, but credibility has a depreciation schedule, and $85 million buys runway, not reputation. Watch whether the next announcement is a hiring milestone or a customer win.
