Intellect Design Arena is betting that the next productivity gain in enterprise AI won’t come from giving individuals better tools, it’ll come from giving entire teams a shared AI environment. The company launched HR TeamSpace, built on its Purple Fabric platform in partnership with Adrenalin eSystems, priced at roughly $1,200 for a 50-user licence. MD Arun Jain is positioning this as a department-wide AI layer, with plans to extend the model into marketing, banking, and government functions beyond HR.

What this means for your business

The pricing alone tells you who Intellect is targeting. At roughly $24 per user annually, this is a land-and-expand play aimed at mid-market and emerging-market enterprises that haven’t yet committed to a Microsoft Copilot or Workday AI stack. If you’re a CHRO at a company still evaluating whether to bolt AI onto your existing HRMS (Human Resource Management System, the core software tracking workforce data and processes) or buy a purpose-built layer, HR TeamSpace positions itself as the latter, but at a price point that treats adoption risk as the main barrier, not budget.

Jain’s framing that “individual productivity is a myth” is a clean positioning move against Microsoft, SAP, and every copilot vendor that sells seat-by-seat. The argument has real logic behind it: studies on prior automation waves consistently show that individual tool gains evaporate when the surrounding workflow doesn’t change. A single power user with a better copilot doesn’t fix a broken approval chain. What Intellect is describing, a shared AI workspace where coordinated agents (software programs that take actions on behalf of users) operate across an entire team’s context, is architecturally different from a personal assistant bolted to an inbox. Whether Purple Fabric actually delivers that coordination or just rebrands a standard multi-seat licence is the question the launch doesn’t answer.

The credibility test for this product will arrive fast. Intellect has guided for 20% revenue growth in FY27, and HR TeamSpace is clearly meant to contribute to that number at scale. If the “TeamSpace per function” model rolls out to marketing and banking as promised, the company is describing a horizontal platform play, and horizontal platform plays live or die on whether the second deployment is as fast as the first. A CHRO who signs on now is effectively a reference customer for every other function buyer. That’s either a negotiating advantage you haven’t used yet, or a commitment you’re making before the product has proven its cross-functional legs.
