CX Enterprise Coworker is now generally available as a standalone product or add-on for existing Adobe customers, built on open protocols (Model Context Protocol and Agent2Agent) that let it connect to AWS, Anthropic, Google Cloud, Microsoft, and OpenAI. The system handles audience targeting, content creation, journey orchestration, brand compliance reviews, and consent management, with human approval gates retained at campaign launch.
What this means for your business
The meaningful divide here isn’t Adobe customers versus everyone else, it’s marketing organizations that have already centralized their stack on a single platform versus those running a patchwork of best-of-breed tools. If your workflows already live inside Adobe Experience Cloud, Coworker can accelerate automation without a rip-and-replace. If they don’t, the open-protocol architecture is a genuine concession from Adobe, an acknowledgment that forcing consolidation is a harder sell than meeting buyers where they are.
Adobe’s positioning deserves some scrutiny. SVP Anjul Bhambhri’s framing, that organizations struggle to translate AI adoption into measurable results, is accurate but also conveniently points every concern toward a product that Adobe is selling. The actual risk for CMOs is substituting platform dependency for the workflow complexity they’re trying to escape. Agentic AI systems, meaning AI that takes sequences of actions autonomously rather than waiting for a human prompt at each step, are still early enough that the “human approval gates” Adobe advertises aren’t a feature so much as a requirement. Marketing teams that treat those gates as temporary friction to be optimized away will be the ones with compliance exposure when brand or consent guardrails fail silently.
Adobe’s self-service pitch aimed at smaller marketing teams is the sharper competitive move than it appears. Historically, enterprise CX platforms required implementation partners and months of onboarding, which meant mid-market teams defaulted to lighter-weight alternatives. If natural-language campaign creation genuinely collapses that time-to-value curve, Adobe expands its addressable market downward without discounting its enterprise tier. The signal to watch isn’t whether Coworker wins enterprise renewals; Adobe already owns those. It’s whether the introductory pricing converts mid-market teams who wouldn’t previously have been in the conversation, because that’s what changes the competitive map for everyone selling into that segment.
